SuperiorCoat effectively repels dirt and offers exceptional scratch resistance (7-8H). This protection to scratches significantly reduces surface damage and related costs, starting as early as the production phase. About 30%-40% of RVs sustain dents and scratches during production, so preventing this by using a protective coating can be very beneficial.
In addition to a high scratch resistance, the colour retention and gloss retention of SuperiorCoat are remarkable. The gloss retention after two years of testing is 100%. The loss of colour after the same time of testing is invisible to the human eye (ΔΕ after 2 years: 0.5). This high resistance to UV is reflected in the high RUV class of the coating (RUV 5).

SuperiorCoat’s scratch resistance is proven by the pencil hardness test. SuperiorCoat is ‘up to scratch’, reaching 7-8H: significantly better compared to StrongCoat, roughly on the level of GRP. This durability is vital, as 30-40% of RVs sustain dents and scratches during production, and minor damage results in repair costs up to €1 million annually per OEM. A more scratch-resistant surface will reduce (smaller) surface scratches, and related costs.
