The future of aluminium is green, lightweight, and super thin. The future is EcoLite. At first glance, EcoLite may seem like nothing new. Embossed aluminium has been used in the caravan industry for decades. But with our technique, we not only increase the material’s strength through embossing, we also ensure it remains ultra-thin—resulting in lighter and more sustainable vehicles.
Stronger, thinner and more sustainable. Embossing makes the material stronger. EcoLite offers a weight reduction of up to 50% compared to plastics. Reducing vehicle weight with EcoLite leads to lower fuel consumption and significantly reduced CO₂ emissions — a major benefit for manufacturers aiming to meet sustainability targets. This makes EcoLite a smart and efficient choice for the future.
EcoLite is inherently strong by design. By pressing a pattern into the surface, the material becomes more rigid and less likely to bend or dent, and more resistant to external pressure. This added strength means we can use thinner aluminium panels that are still tough and durable. It’s a smart way to make lightweight materials even more reliable.
EcoLite is up to 50% lighter than plastics, making it not only a lightweight alternative but also a more sustainable one. We believe that the most effective way to reduce the environmental footprint of materials is to use less. By using much thinner sidewalls – and therefore less metal – we significantly reduce the footprint of caravans and motorhomes.
Embossed patterns and designs remained virtually unchanged for many years – until now. We decided it was time for a refresh introducing new designs. EcoLite makes it possible to create unique embossed finishes, such as the striking ‘Dune’ design, enabling manufacturers to create bold and differentiated vehicle exteriors. The designs can also be co-developed.
Lighter, stronger and more sustainable, that’s what EcoLite is all about. Our team of aluminium experts would be delighted to discuss EcoLite’s possibilities with you in a personal meeting.
